Help

Post by Goofydoofy »

So, I was going to raid last night (Before it was canceled), but I was told I needed GINA to raid. Well, I have GINA, but it never seems to work correctly. First, do I NEED GINA to raid? If so, can I use the Audio Triggers instead? If not, who wants to fix GINA for me?

The Audio Triggers I can make work, no problem. I was just thinking they might not be kept up to date anymore?

In-game ATs > GINA.

I kinda miss that "Time for a crystal!" AT. /sigh

We haven’t used Ommina’s home made audio triggers in a while. Granted they are super hilarious, but we can get more functionality out of Gina.
I don’t think Gina is a requirement (I may be wrong) for raiding but I highly recommend it.
Gina is really a back up to teamspeak which is a back up to in game emotes.
I find people are relying on leaders and Gina to dictate how they raid but that’s a whole different story.

@Tarvas i would beg to differ.
With Gina I have overlays showing countdowns so I can see when an emote is going to happen vice responding to when it happens.
I can also look at a corner of my screen and see which tank has their defensive ability available and which mob has been hit with dirge or if auspice has been cast. Way more functionality.

I have TeamSpeak. I will raid then next time and maybe I can get it setup in the meantime. Thanks

More functionality doesn't always equate to more efficiency or effectiveness, but if it makes you better at playing or leading having I am happy for you. I work better with the AT triggers.

I use both. I have teamspeak on for the overlays and such but my triggers are SOOOOO Far behind I can not relie on them to alert me to crap. I use Ommina's triggers and they are spot on and right when it happens. Its super easy just take the trigger phase out of TS's and paste it in to Omms and it works perfect. What I have been doing for a few months now and I am never behind.

I wish. I finally got back to the states for leave and couldn't get near a computer for three weeks. Work is what it is and I am feeling my age if you know what I mean. :(
